Welcome to Tiefenthaler Brewing
Willkommen!
On this blog we will be talking about my ramp up in to brewing again. When I use to brew I was very obsessive about writing everything down and documenting every step or miss-step. Now that I have gotten back into it in a big way I find myself a little bit lax on my documentation. When I went to Germany the first time in 1999, I found the beer varieties to be outstanding. I fell in love with a Schwarz beer called Donners Berger which is produced in the Pflaz region (Southwest Germany). I had it in Tiefenthal during my 2000 trip and have it every time I go back. The locals gave me a Donners Berger mug because I liked it so much.
Now back to brewing, I love to drink wheat, bock, oktoberfest and Schwarz beers. As I go forward I am going to try and document my thinking and my brewing sessions.
I hope you enjoy and please leave comments or suggestions.
Prost!
